We don’t get to pick all the paths in our life
No cushions on our ass sliding down on a knife
We don’t choose the choices that come our way
You can only respond and send them away

It’s not some cards you’ve been dealt
It’s not a crazy mistake
You’re not a victim, unlucky.
Don’t pretend that it’s fate

You don’t know what you don’t know
You don’t see what you can’t see
Just close your eyes and jump because you gotta believe
We’ll make some mistakes,

Just take that running start into a headlong dive
